Electioneering During Early Voting - HB 3041

This bill would have removed the prohibition on early voting electioneering on the property of early voting sites, resolving a conflict with the electioneering prohibition zone. One section of the WV code states that electioneering cannot take place on the "property" of an early voting location. A more recent law says that electioneering cannot take place within 100 feet of the entrance of a polling location. On polling places such as malls or large government complexes, prohibitions on being on the property at all are over-broad.
