Originally from the eastern shore of Virginia, Bernadette has called West Virginia home for 15 years. Prior to joining ACLU-WV, Bernadette worked in banking before pursuing degrees in mathematics and computer science at West Virginia State University.
As finance assistant, Bernadette works with our finance director to manage ACLU-WV’s accounts and payroll. She enjoys contributing to the organization’s work behind the scenes, rather than being out front.
Her favorite part of the job is that she gets to feel like she is making a difference in the lives of West Virginians.
When she isn’t working, Bernadette enjoys hiking, video games, and reading. She lives in St. Albans with her two dogs, Max and Emma.
