ACLU-WV and our supporters worked tirelessly this past year with the West Virginia Legislature and the Governor to pass sweeping changes to help fix our state's broken juvenile justice system.

Because of that hard work, we were able to reform harmful truancy laws and establish effective safeguards to prevent the unnecessary incarceration of West Virginia's youth.

Recent estimates project savings of $20 million because of these reforms. Now more than ever, we need to start talking about reinvesting those savings into our kid's futures.

Join us August 3rd in Beckley at the Our Children Our Future WV Southern Policy Workshop as we present our reasons and strategy for reinvesting Juvenile Justice Reform savings. Every kid deserves a bright future. Let's continue finding ways to use these funds to keep youth incarceration rates declining and enable our kids to realize their real potential and value.
