Three events in three different cities across West Virginia?! You read that right. We’re gearing up for an exciting week and we want to invite YOU to be a part of it.
Gearing up to protest government abuses? Then we’ve got a training you don’t want to miss! On January 18 at 7:00pm, at the Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church, we’ll be hosting a dissent and nonviolence training where you’ll learn your rights under the First Amendment and how to effectively and safely make your voice heard. On January 19 at 7:00pm, join us in Huntington at Marshall University’s Memorial Student Center (Room 2W22) for the second in a series of Citizen Activist Trainings. In this latest installment, we’ll be tackling issues of drug addiction and criminalization and how to safely and effectively observe police activity. On January 21 at 1:00pm, we’ll be in Charleston at the state capitol for the Women’s March on West Virginia. This will be one of nearly 300 sister marches to the Women’s March on Washington happening around the country. Join us at the capitol to show unity and solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of people marching around the country to reaffirm the core American values of freedom and democracy for all.
